KAE Olympiacos went on the counter-attack and with an obviously ironic mood, issued a statement – a response to that of KAE PAOK, which accused Giorgos Bartzokas of creating an atmosphere.

Giorgos Bartzokas, after the end of the match, which found Olympiacos the winner with 90-60, broke out on the ERT camera, for the abusive slogans against his late mother, but also for the heavy atmosphere in the PAOK Sports Arena due to the use of the of cigarettes. PAOK responded with a statement, claiming that the red and white coach made sure to create an atmosphere and provoked with his behavior.
On Tuesday (11/19), came the official reaction of KAE Olympiacos, which, in a clearly ironic mood, informed through a statement that it called Giorgos Bartzokas to… an apology because he dared to do his job in Palataki. At the same time, he characterized the insulting attack received by the experienced technician as vulgar and emphasized that the announcement by KAE PAOK “causes regret”.

“KAE OLYMPIAKOS apologizes to Giorgos Bartzokas because he dared to do his job in the match against KAE PAOK, causing it to the detriment of himself and his late mother a vulgar abusive attack by the fans of the home team.
He calls on him to apologize because during the playing of the National Anthem he asked his colleagues why insulting slogans against Olympiakos were heard. It was not inconceivable that he commented on the atmosphere as being full of smoke from… the use of cigarettes.
