The viral VIDEO that anointed the new coach of PAS Giannina the female version of Fatih Terim

PAS Ioannina made a very important move, giving the reins of the team to the well-known coach Selene Erdem. The 40-year-old technician from Turkey stopped her sports career at the age of 18 and has since started her coaching career.

Among other things has worked as an assistant coach for the Turkish National Team, taking part in the Rio Olympics in 2016, as well as a World Cup and two Pan European Championships, from 2014 to 2019.

Erdem stands out for her strong personality and is often compared to the former Panathinaikos football coach, Fatih Terim, whom she has stated that she would like to meet in person at some point.

On the field she prefers to appear in suits and high heels, while on her personal Instagram account she has 297 thousand followers. Selene Erdem’s big burst of popularity actually came about after a VIDEO was created showing how similar her movements and expressions are to Fatih Terim.

“From the moment I step on the field, I have to have a completely different discipline. That’s actually the personality I should have on the court, but I’m not an aggressive person in my private life.

I have to be like that in the business world. I really want to win, and that makes me aggressive. I have been a coach for 22 years, since then I have been like this. I have to inspire my players. I am a very sweet, normal person in my private life. If we want to be successful, discipline is the most important thing”he had stated in a her recent interview.

He further explained: “When I was little I always wore tracksuits, shorts and t-shirts to training. I always wanted to dress seriously. My mum was a teacher and she wore a different suit every day. Then I started coaching and she said ‘I’m going to wear heels when I’m on the pitch.’ I’ve been wearing heels since I first started training. I’ve never worn flats. It just changes color, depending on my team.”
