FENERBACHT
Jose Mourinho has pledged to stay at Fenerbahce until the summer of 2026, but Alan Shearer believes his return to the Premier League is only a matter of time, citing his two most likely destinations.
In his 25-year coaching career, Jose Mourinho has a rich resume to show for passing through several teams, with the Premier League being by far his favorite destination.
There he acquired the special nickname “Special One” that has accompanied him ever since (as he had defined himself in his presentation from Chelsea in the summer of 2004), and there he worked for not just one team but three, Chelsea (bis), Manchester United and Tottenham.
Now, he makes his sponge cake in neighboring Turkey having signed a hegemonic contract with Fenerbahce (10 million euros his annual salary) and has made it clear that he is not going to leave the canaries before the summer of 2026 (he has an option to renew for another year ) with Alan Shearer still convinced that the England chapter is not closed for him.
“He always tries to get a message across and it wouldn’t surprise me if he was preparing to return to England in the near future.
Where could he go? Let’s not forget that he was recently at Roma, whose ownership is close to acquiring Everton.” initially emphasized the 54-year-old veteran English forward, to add meaningfully:
“With his career and his wins, any Premier League club would be interested in him. It wouldn’t surprise me if we see him back in the Premier League in the next 12 months.
We know he is highly regarded at Newcastle and has a link with Sir Bobby Robson.”
