Inter president Bepe Marotta has revealed the joint plan between his club and AC Milan, which will see the two clubs attempt to build a new stadium together.
Recent meetings between representatives of AC Milan and Inter Milan with the City of Milan appear to have convinced the two teams to temporarily stay at the San Siro.
According to Nerazzurri president Beppe Marotta, the two clubs now wish to jointly develop a plan to build a new stadium in the same area as the Giuseppe Meazza.
Marota’s statements in detail:
“It is a serious and delicate matter. Italian bureaucracy is the main issue that has led to the delay of any initiative. It has happened many times in the past.
Milan and Inter want to build the stadium together and the latest updates show that this will probably happen in the San Siro area, but these bureaucratic issues will remain.”
Based on this statement, it seems that the idea of buying and renovating the San Siro, which is the joint headquarters of the two teams, has now been abandoned.
