For the match against Zalgiris, which has learned to win by spoiling the opponent’s game: “We expect a very tough game defensively from Zalgiris. Basically they slow down a lot, they have a lot of different options in their defense and during the games. They play very hard at home.
We have to be very ready for a physical game, we have to read her defense, because coach Trinchieri changes a lot of defenses during the games. From there, let’s play our game in attack, we have very quality players, to be able to do the double”.
For where the game will be decided: “I think that we will adapt as quickly as possible to the pressing defense and to the different defenses that Zalgiris will have during the match.
This is very important and the second most important is to control our defensive rebounding, because Zalgiris is one of the best teams in offensive rebounding. Even when he has some missed shots he renews a lot of attacks and I think he will play a very big role in controlling the defensive rebounds.”
About Lonnie Walker and if there is a plan to deal with him: “He is a very good player, with a lot of attacking talent, but, as we have seen, the Zalgiris team has character. It does not change its character. He played 3 games, in the two he was not good he narrowly lost, in the third he theoretically lost a little more easily.
