The qualifying tests of the Mexico City GP, the 20th race of this year’s Formula 1, will also be after midnight (Greek time) this three-day. Where can you see tonight’s racing activity, and at what times.
The second of Formula 1’s four-race series in the Americas, and 20th of the 24 GPs of this season, takes place this three-day (25-27/10) at the Hermanos Rodríguez Autobahn in Mexico City.
Unlike Texas last week and Brazil the following three days, the race meeting in Mexico does not have a Sprint race. Consequently, today (Saturday 26/10) includes the 3rd free practice session (FP3) and then the qualifying sessions for tomorrow’s race.
So FP3 will be held today at 20:30 Greek time (with live broadcast from ANT1+)whereas the ranking tests they will start a few hours later, at midnight from Saturday to Sunday (00:00, ANT1+, LIVE SPORT24). The qualifiers will also be televised at 01:00 tonight by ANT1.
Classically, ranking tests consist of three periods (Q1-Q2-Q3) lasting 18-15-12 minutes respectively. In the first two, the five slowest drivers will be eliminated respectively, so that in Q3 the final ten will emerge for the battle for pole position.
This is the first of 5 GPs (plus 2 Sprints) remaining to bring the curtain down on the 2024 F1 season, and decide the battle of champions. In the standings, Max Verstappen leads with 57 b. of Lando Norris for the drivers, while McLaren with 40 b. of McLaren and with 48 b. of Ferrari to the manufacturers.
