Kostoulas: "We are here to claim everything in Europe and in Greece"

INTIMATE

Babis Kostoulas emphasized that he is proud to be Olympiakos’ youngest scorer in the league after his goal in Toumba and sent a message to claim all the titles in Greece and Europe in the club’s 100-year history.

Olympiacos had a difficult mission in Toumba on Sunday night (10/11) but it was executed with complete success, as it prevailed 3-2 against PAOK for the 11th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League and climbed to the top of the standings, which shares it with Aris and AEK.

The protagonist of this great success was Babis Kostoulas who opened the scoring for the red and whites with the first goal with the men’s team, with the young forward becoming the youngest in the history of Piraeus at the level of the Greek league.

For his part, he characterized as important the fact that he enjoys the trust of Jose Luis Mendiliber and his teammates, with statements he made on the Olympiakos channel on Youtube, while he sent a message to the friends of the team that the goal is to win all the titles in order to to ideally celebrate the completion of a century since the foundation of the club.

In detail what he said:

On the fact that he became the youngest scorer in the history of Olympiakos in the championship: “I am proud of myself for breaking this record. Only joy and very happy for the victory. As long as I can remember myself, I have dreamed of it for a lifetime to come to this moment. It is very important that I have won the trust of both the coach and teammates”.

On the emotions that overwhelmed him when he scored against PAOK: “It was something I really wanted since the beginning of the year, I was chasing it. As a relief, the first came in and I hope it continues.”

On whether the win in Toumba, which sent Olympiacos to the top of the standings, is a sign of what may come next for the team: “It is certainly a year with very great demands, 100 years of our history and we are here to claim it all in Europe and in Greece”.
