Formula 1 returns after almost a month this three-day (18-20/10) with the US GP in Austin, Texas, and McLaren, Alpine and Haas F1 will compete there – each for their own reasons – with different colors of their cars.
Starting with McLaren, the F1 points leader will bring back the popular and traditional chrome look – featured on the famous McLaren-Mercedes from the late 1990s to the early 2000s – on the bodywork of the MCL38 for this race 2010.
Chrome returned to McLaren’s palette at last year’s Silverstone GP, as the English team developed the color variant in collaboration with Google – one of the team’s sponsors.
The paint job is called ‘Chrome Shines Again’, and in addition to the bodywork of the McLaren MCL38, it will also be found on parts of the racing kit of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
Moving on to Alpine, the Enstone team unveiled their new colors inspired by the popular Indiana Jones movie trilogy.
This resulted from Alpine’s collaboration with Xbox, and concerns the promotion of the new videogame called ‘Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’, which will be released on the market in Spring 2025.
The orange livery of the Alpine A524, which will also be extended to the race kits of Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon, features an ancient map with red routes based on the iconic film with Harrison Ford.
Finally, Haas will have the two VF-24s in the Austin race special livery with the stars of the American flag, as they do every year at their home GP.
Gene Haas’s team competes under an American racing license, despite the fact that apart from Kannapolis in North Carolina, the USA, it also has a base in Banbury, in the county of Orchard in England.
We remind you that the Toyota Gazoo Racing logo will now be on the rear wing of the two Haas F1 cars, following the recent announcement of the team’s technical collaboration with the racing arm of the Japanese giant Toyota.
Also in Austin, Haas F1 will present an extensive VF-24 aerodynamic upgrade package – its key development for the final 6 races of this season’s Formula 1 season, in its battle with RB for 6th place in this year’s constructors’ championship .
