Ajax celebrated the return of their historic crest by posting a special video on social media with the caption: “Ajax Amsterdam, you are exactly as you were then”.
Ajax are returning to their historic badge from 2025, which they used from 1928 to 1990, it was announced on Sunday (17/11).
The return of the emblem will be celebrated during a sold-out friendly between Ajax and Real Madrid legends at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
However, it will not officially return until the start of the 2025/26 season, when it will gradually be integrated back into the team’s branding across all platforms.
Ajax released a special video for the return to the historic emblem combining the club’s 125th anniversary with the soul of Amsterdam.
