Neymar’s future at Al Hilal is uncertain after his latest injury, however Palmeiras will not be the new stop in his football career as the club’s president made it clear in an explicit and categorical way.
Neymar’s talent and class are undeniable, but his vulnerability to injury has set him back for more than a year, with the latest injury threatening to send him to the exit door at Al Hilal.
With reports from Saudi Arabia wanting him to look for a new home soon, many have linked the 32-year-old Brazilian superstar’s name with clubs in his homeland, with Palmeiras being put out of the running in a manner that leaves no question mark.
And this is because the president of the club, Leila Pereira, took a clear position during a press conference, which spoke – in a blunt way – about the problems that have been plaguing the player lately.
“Neymar will not come to Palmeiras, this club is not a medical center. I am looking for someone who will be available immediately, who can play tomorrow if the coach wants it.
I will not allow us to get a player who will not be fit to play.” he pointed out.
