Ecuador’s football family is mourning the loss of a young member, with 22-year-old international midfielder Marco Angulo passing away after a serious car accident that kept him in critical condition for 35 days in intensive care.
Ecuador has been mourning for a few hours, since it became known that the international midfielder Marco Angulo passed away at the age of just 22.
The footballer, who played this season in the Liga de Quito on loan from Cincinnati, was involved in a very serious car accident last October (in which his colleague, Roberto Quinones, had lost his life), which had led him to critical condition in an intensive care unit.
He was in it for more than a month, but he could not win the battle with death, since after multiple surgeries that he had to undergo due to the serious injuries to his brain, he finally ended up, to plunge an entire country into mourning with his his loss.
“Rest in Peace”was the message of his teammate in the Liga de Quito, Lucas Piovi, with which he accompanied a photo of them together during a football match.
