Olympiakos midfielder Marko Stamenic scored a stunning goal in New Zealand’s 8-0 win over Samoa in Oceania’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
New Zealand were relentless against Samoa, who they thrashed 8-0 to qualify for the Oceania zone play-offs leading to the 2026 World Cup.
New Zealand’s triumph was also contributed by Marko Stamenicwith the Olympiakos midfielder scoring his national team’s 5th goal in the 62nd minute with a nice shot from the edge of the box.
In the play-off semi-final, New Zealand will face Fiji. If she qualifies, she will then face the winner of the New Caledonia-Tahiti tie in the final, with the winner of the final getting a direct ticket to the World Cup and the loser playing in the confederation play-offs.
