Diego Simeone has associated his name with a La Liga club more than any other manager and the game against Valladolid will be a landmark for him.
Diego Simeone has been identified with Atlético, as from December 2011 until today he has been on the bench of the Rojiblancos without any interruption.
The Argentine coach will reach 700 games on the bench for the Rojiblancos in all competitions in Saturday’s game against Valladolid, becoming the first in La Liga history to reach that number of games with one team.
So far in 699 matches he has 412 wins, 156 draws and 131 losses with 1,166 goals for and 576 against. With him at the helm, Atlético have won two championships, two Europa Leagues, one Spanish Cup, two European Super Cups and one Spanish Super Cup.
