A great record was recorded by Russell Westbrook, after he reached 200 triple-doubles in the game of the Nuggets against the Grizzlies, making history.
At 36 years old, Russell Westbrook is not the player he used to be. But he can still make a difference from time to time, and he proved it in the Nuggets’ 122-110 win over the Grizzlies, where he had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists, marking the 200th triple-double of his NBA career. He is the first player in history to reach 200 triple-doubles.
Of course, Westbrook has been the leader in triple-doubles in NBA history for years – having left behind Oscar Roberson – having recorded four seasons (three with the Thunder and one with the Wizards) where he averaged a triple-double. All that remained to be seen was when he would reach 200, to set another record.
At the same time, however, Westbrook made another record: He is the first player in history to have made a triple-double with 6 different teams (Thunder, Rockets, Wizards, Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets), leaving behind Rajon Rondo and Mark Jackson who did it with 5 different teams.
