Genoa’s change in management was completed in less than 24 hours, with the Rossoblu sacking Alberto Gilardino on Tuesday afternoon and announcing Patrick Vieira as his successor on Wednesday midday.
Genoa announced on Tuesday afternoon their decision to remove Alberto Gilardino from the bench after two years of partnership (and a promotion to Serie A) and before it was well over 24 hours since the farewell to “Zila” became known with every officialdom his replacement.
The reason for Patrick Vieira, with the French former manager of Nice, Crystal Palace and Strasbourg being announced on Wednesday (20/11) by the management of the Rosblu and signing a contract with them until 2026 (with an option for 2027) with annual salary of 1 million euros.
