WOMEN’S FOOTBALL
Mary Earps has been given a wax figure at London’s Madame Tussauds, with the Englishwoman becoming the first footballer to be exhibited at the museum.
A special first is enjoyed by Mary Earps, who now became the first female soccer player to have her own wax figure in the museum Madame Tussauds of London.
The 31-year-old competes with the jersey of Paris Saint-Germain, while in recent years she has been defending the home of the England National Team. Earps was honored to see her wax figure placed alongside the rest of the museum’s exhibits because she won the public vote, which could only choose one athlete from the National team.
As far as the experienced player’s footballing achievements are concerned, she won the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper of the 2023 Women’s World Cup after her interventions led England to the final of the tournament.
