Joao Pereira has been promoted from Sporting B and will replace Ruben Amorim on the Portuguese side’s bench after Amorim left for Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim traveled to Manchester to take charge of Manchester United and Sporting decided to officially hand over the reins of the bench to Joao Pereira.
The 40-year-old coach, with a long career as a footballer at Sporting, Valencia, Hannover and Trabzonspor, coached Sporting B in Portugal’s third division this year, where he had a record of 4-4-3.
