Sasha Vezenkov spoke to Stoiximan GBL’s podcast “Man to Man”, in an episode which will be published in full on Monday (18/11).
The 29-year-old forward mentioned, among other things, his decision to move from Olympiakos to the Sacramento Kings. The red-and-white superstar said he owed it to himself to say yes to the NBA and revealed he cried all the way from Greece to Bulgaria after announcing his decision.

“I think I owed it to myself. I think about it now and I get emotional, I’ll never forget it. I was flying to Bulgaria from Greece, I had just announced my decision and I was crying all the way. The flight attendant had to say ‘what is he doing now “. I was reading messages from friends, from acquaintances, from people I knew and saying that where I go there is so much love on the one hand but on the other hand I owed it to myself”.
