“I can confirm…” – Journalist drops major Man Utd exit update live on Sky as bid made

Antony, the 24-year-old Brazilian winger, has faced challenges since his £86 million transfer from Ajax to Manchester United in the summer of 2022. Despite a promising start with three goals in his first three Premier League matches, his form has declined, leading to limited appearances under current manager Rúben Amorim.

In January 2025, Olympiacos, the reigning Europa Conference League champions, expressed interest in acquiring Antony on loan. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that discussions between Manchester United and Olympiacos have stalled, with no significant progress made. Romano noted that Antony’s move to Olympiacos is “not considered as a concrete/likely option at this stage of the market.”

Antony’s agent, Junior Pedroso, confirmed that multiple clubs have approached them regarding a potential move for the winger. However, Manchester United has not indicated any intention to sell or loan out Antony. Pedroso stated, “Manchester United have never expressed any interest to sell or loan out Antony to us.”

As the January transfer window progresses, Antony’s future at Manchester United remains uncertain. While Olympiacos has shown interest, the lack of substantial progress in negotiations suggests that a move may not materialize this month. Antony’s agent has emphasized that any decision regarding a potential transfer will align with Manchester United’s interests.
