Galatasaray denied the reports regarding Mauro Icardi, and the rumors about his arrest, due to violence against his ex-wife, Wanda Nara.
Galatasaray have officially denied recent rumors surrounding the alleged arrest of Mauro Icardi, who is reportedly at the center of a personal scandal with his ex-wife Wanda Nara.
According to reports in Argentina, Icardi is accused of violence against Nara. Rumors claim that, after a heated argument, Nara has launched legal proceedings against him and that an investigation has been launched under charges of “violence against women”.
In an official statement, Galatasaray takes a position on the matter, pointing out that the allegations concerning its Argentinian footballer are baseless.
“The rumors circulating about our professional footballer are untrue. Our footballer Mauro Icardi is resting at home in Argentina. We kindly ask you to ignore these news aimed at discrediting him.”they said in their official announcement.
Galatasaray, through its official social networks, calls on the public not to give basis to the “malicious” rumours, underlining that their aim is to damage the image of Icardi.
