France stormed through the San Siro to beat Italy 3-1 with Rabiot and Dean in the lead to take top spot in League A Group Two of the Nations League.

With Rabiot and Dean doing their bit in the home defence, France beat Italy 3-1 at the San Siro on Matchday 6 to clinch top spot in League A Group Two of the Nations League.

Didier Deschamps’ side opened the scoring in just the second minute, with Rabiot sending the ball into the net with a powerful header from Dean’s corner. The visitors struck again in the 33rd minute with Dean taking a direct free-kick and the ball hitting the post and Vicario before slotting into the net for 0-2.

The Nerazzurri had an immediate response, reducing to 1-2 in the 35th minute. Dimarco stepped into the area and turned the ball over and Campiazzo fired a right-footed shot into the net to give Luciano Spalletti’s side a new lease of life.

But the last word belonged to France, who found a third goal, again with Rabiot in the 65th minute. Dean took the free-kick from the left and the visitors’ midfielder beat Vicario to make it 1-3.
