Jonathan David has revealed his dream is to play for Barcelona in the future as his contract with Lille expires at the end of the season.

Jonathan David is one of the hottest names in the French league and has attracted the interest of many clubs, with Bayern Munich even keeping a close eye on his case.

Despite this, the Lille striker changed the scene with his statements, explaining that his plan is to compete in the future with the Barcelona shirt, as he has been a fan of Barcelona since childhood.

“Barcelona was always the team I grew up supporting. When you grow up supporting a team, it’s your dream to play for them!”

Since the 24-year-old’s contract expires next summer, it is understood that the Blaugrana might be able to acquire him as a free agent, a move that would significantly strengthen Hansi Flick’s attack line, while at the same time not significantly burdening the budget.

It should be noted that, despite the fact that Lewandowski is in excellent form, the Pole is now 36 years old and therefore David could take over and be the next nine for the Catalans in the coming years.
