Carsley will meet Tuchel to hand him a file from his interim stint on the bench

England’s game against Ireland at Wembley (5-0) for the 6th round of the Nations League was the last for Lee Carsleywho sat on the Three Lions bench as caretaker manager for a total of six games.

The 50-year-old Irishman, who will be succeeded by Thomas Tuchel, informed that he will prepare a file, which he will hand over to the German coach, before taking over as England manager from January 1.

In this folder he will take stock of the six games he managed the national team, which he led to 1st place in their group in the Nations League, with Greece finishing 2nd, in order to help Tuchel’s work.

It is worth noting that eight players have made their debut for the Three Lions since he temporarily took over Carsley following the sacking of Gareth Southgate in July, while 37 different footballers have been called up during his tenure.

“I’m trying to put together a briefing. I’ll put together what we’ve found and meet him. Our job as the K21 staff is to support the senior coach, learn what he needs and how we can help.

I’m really comfortable with this role and I’m looking forward to meeting him in the coming weeks.” he said.

The 50-year-old will return to his normal position, as coach of England U21.
