Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 25 points in the third quarter and keyed the Bucks’ 122-106 victory over the Bulls in the fourth on a night when he passed Scottie Pippen for 65th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
They are starting to play good basketball, looking for consistency and in the meantime they are picking up the ground they lost at the beginning of the season. The Bucks beat the Bulls early on Thursday (11/21) 122-106 in Milwaukee, with none other than MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo who scored 25 points in the third period and among other things passed Scottie Pippen to move into 65th place list of leading scorers in NBA history.
The Elafias climbed to 6-9 (5-3 at home and 1-6 away), with the Greek Freak… quiet in the first part, stormy in the third period and decisive in the fourth when with consecutive rebounds and a series of assists on three-pointers Lillard – Lopez refereed the match. Dame posted a double-double in points and assists (20-10), the Milwaukee center had a terrific first half, and the standout off the bench was AJ Green, one of the league’s top shooters (18 points, 5/ 7 three-pointers).
The Bulls fell to 6-10 (1-5 at home and 5-5 away), who made their effort, but show that for another season their ceiling is low. Or at least, it’s not that high. Zach LaVine had moments when he was unstoppable, but beyond that Giddy, White, Dosunmu are not scary guards and Nikola Vucevic, no matter how much he fills his stats, is a tall guy who can’t make a difference on high teams level.

He made his first two baskets early, from a partnership with Jackson and a frontal attack. He stayed eleven straight minutes on the floor as Rivers’ rotation for him has changed, filled his stat line without extorting situations and at the end of the period had seven points (3/3 2-pointers, 1/2 shots), two rebounds, three assists, no mistakes or fouls.
He came back midway through the second to quickly make his first drive, teamed up with Lopez for a 59-41 lead and without pushing himself closed out the first half with 13/3/5/1 in 17:27. He entered the second with a nail-biter, followed it up with a mid-range shot, put up 25 points in the third period (!) in every possible and improbable way, in a spectacular show that, however, was not enough to bend the Bulls.
He reentered the game with 7:31 left in the final with the score at 106-102, grabbed the defensive rebound and assisted on Lillard’s 3-pointer for 112-102, in the next period he again grabbed the defensive rebound and assisted on the 3-pointer by Lillard for the 115-102 that decided the game. So simple, so, beautiful, so… Antetokounmpo. He reached 18951 points.
