The FA are set to hit Rodrigo Betancourt with a seven-match domestic ban over racist remarks he made against teammate Sean last summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
Tottenham Hotspur star Rodrigo Betancourt is facing a ban with Daily Mirror to report that the FA will ban him for seven home games due to racist remarks he made in the past.
Specifically, the Uruguayan is accused of making racist comments against his teammate Sean and South Koreans in general, as well as in a television interview on “Por La Camiseta” that he gave last June said that “they all look the same”.
The show’s host asked Bettencourt if he could get him a shirt from a Tottenham player, with the 27-year-old replying:
“Sean’s? Could be his cousin as well since they all look the same.”
