REAL MADRID
Martin Baturina has accepted an offer from Real Madrid, but the 21-year-old Croatian midfielder has refused to leave Dinamo Zagreb.
Real Madrid may be preoccupied with finding a stopper at the moment due to recent serious injuries to Dani Carvajal and Ender Militao, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t eyeing the market for specific cases with an eye to the future.
According to the German Sky Sports, the “queen” wanted to “capture” him first Dinamo Zagreb’s Martin Baturina, who has impressed many scouts with his high performances, however the Croatian midfielder has rejected an offer from Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
The reason the young footballer turned down such a great opportunity is due to the real intentions of Los Blancos for his utilization.
The aim was to give Baturina the first two years on loan in order to “bake”, so that in the future he could fill the position of Luka Modric if he is convinced of his abilities, and this was not an idea that the player accepted.
Of course, this development does not necessarily mean that the footballer will remain in Croatia, since Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United are claimed to be on his doorstep.
