Argentina took the lead, but Paraguay overturned with Sanabria’s stunning header and Alderete’s golden goal to claim a 2-1 World Cup qualifier in the Latin American zone.
Argentina were beaten 2-1 by Paraguay away from home, with the home side trailing but turning around to celebrate a big win for the World Cup qualifiers in the Latin American zone.
The World Champion took the lead just in the 11th minute with Lautaro Martines. Although the goal was initially disallowed as offside after VAR intervention it counted.
The home team equalized in the 19th minute of the match with Sanabria’s amazing reverse scissors kick, only for Alderete to come on in the 47th minute and turn the game around.
This is the third time in Lionel Messi’s career that he has lost three consecutive games.
