Bryce Young Thrills NFL Fans in Duel vs. Matthew Stafford as Panthers Beat Rams

Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers thrilled fans with a 31-28 upset over MVP candidate Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Carolina sealed the win with a forced fumble with under 2:30 remaining as Young threw for 206 yards and three touchdowns while completing 15-of-20 passes. Chuba Hubbard, Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker each hauled in a touchdown.

The win moved Carolina to 7-6 as it inches closer to the top of the NFC South, sitting just behind Tampa Bay, which is on a three-game losing streak.

Fans reacted to Young’s impressive performance.

Stafford, an MVP candidate all season, had a quieter outing than usual, finishing with 243 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions on 18-of-28 passing. The Rams dropped to 9-3 but remain atop the NFC West, narrowly ahead of Seattle.

Young matched his season high with three touchdowns, giving him four triple-touchdown games this season. He sealed the win with a clutch first-down completion to Coker on third-and-five before Carolina kneeled it out.

The Panthers head into a bye week before traveling to face the New Orleans Saints next Sunday.
