The Dallas Cowboys could have more NFL trades on the way.
Despite the Dallas Cowboys’ underwhelming loss against the Arizona Cardinals, the front office still appears to be exploring potential trades to improve the roster, according to the latest NFL rumors. The Cowboys and teams across the league have until 4 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, to strike a deal ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
Cowboys insider Mike Fisher reported that the team is considering a last-minute move for Miami Dolphins pass rusher Bradley Chubb.
“I’m told Chubb is a Cowboys ‘iron in the fire’ trade target today,” Fisher noted in a November 4, 2025, message on X.
The news comes hours after the Cowboys acquired linebacker Logan Wilson in a deal with the Cincinnati Bengals. Could another trade be on the way in Dallas?
Let’s dive into the latest NFL trade rumors and news for the Cowboys.
Cowboys Rumors: Dallas Pushing to Trade for Dolphins Star Bradley Chubb
Multiple reports indicate that the Cowboys are interested in acquiring Chubb. Dallas continues to have a giant void on the defensive line after the Micah Parsons trade. The challenge is the Cowboys have a lot of holes to address on defense, including the secondary.
“Sources: The Cowboys have held trade discussions with multiple teams regarding defensive players — believed to be focused on pass rushers and linebackers — and the expectation is that at least one deal will be finalized by Tuesday, as owner Jerry Jones hinted today,” Schultz remarked in a series of X messages on November 3.
“My understanding is the Cowboys have spoken to the Bengals on DE Trey Hendrickson and LB Logan Wilson, and to the Dolphins on OLB Bradley Chubb. They’ve had talks with other teams as well. ‘At least one deal is getting done somewhere,’ a source said.”
Chubb is on a three-year, $54 million contract that is slated to go through the 2027 season.
The Cowboys Have Been Linked to Trades for Several Dolphins Players Including Bradley Chubb & Minkah Fitzpatrick
The Cowboys have been linked to a number of Dolphins trades, including for Jaelan Phillips and Minkah Fitzpatrick. Phillips was dealt to the Philadelphia Eagles on the eve of the NFL trade deadline.
“The Cowboys keep getting linked to Miami Dolphins edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, and for good reason,” Fisher wrote in a November 2, story titled, “Sources: Cowboys Call Bengals, ‘Examine’ Dolphins Trio, Maxx Still Alive? Fish Trade Deadline Notebook.”
“A source tells me that Dallas is ‘examining’ not only Phillips, but also Miami pass-rush teammates Matthew Judon and Bradley Chubb.”
Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Hinted at 3 Potential Trades
On the eve of the NFL deadline, owner Jerry Jones hinted that three potential Cowboys trades were in the works. Then the surprising loss to the Arizona Cardinals happened prompting plenty of curiosity on if it was too little, too late for the 3-5-1 Cowboys.
Despite the loss, Dallas already announced the deal for Wilson. It remains to be seen if the other two trades will happen.
“A lot of action going on right now in terms of trading,” Jones noted on “The Stephen A. Smith Show” on SiriusXM Radio, per ESPN. “We certainly have made a trade, and we may make a couple more trades before that deadline.
“We’ve made one. We possibly could make two more, and I’m going to wait and let you read about that when we send the papers in tomorrow.”
