NFC playoff picture: Los Angeles Rams move atop conference in Week 12

The Los Angeles Rams took control of the NFC West last week by beating the Seattle Seahawks. In Week 12, they took control of the entire conference with their Sunday night win.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost earlier in the day, opening the door for the Rams to move into first place with a win over Tampa Bay. They obliterated the Buccaneers and Los Angeles is the new number one seed.

Elsewhere in the conference, the surprising Chicago Bears kept their winning way to remain third in the conference.

In the wild card race, the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers both won to hold down the fifth and sixth seeds. The San Francisco 49ers play Monday night and a win keeps them in seventh, but a loss allowes the Detroit Lions to move into seventh after their Week 12 win.

One game back of the field is the Panthers at 6-5.
