The FA has hit out at Rodrigo Betancourt, who was banned for seven matches and fined for racially abusing teammate Sean last summer.
The FA has punished Rodrigo Betancourt with a seven-game ban and a fine of around €120,000 for racist comments he made last summer against team-mate Sean.
In particular, the Uruguayan is accused of making racist comments against his teammate Sean and South Koreans in general, as in a TV interview with “Por La Camiseta” he gave last June, he said that “everyone looks the same”.
The show’s host asked Bettencourt if he could get him a shirt from a Tottenham player, with the 27-year-old replying:
“Sean’s? Could be his cousin as well since they all look the same.”
