The second qualifying round of the Euro U17 qualifiers was secured by the Youth National Team, who won 3-0 against Azerbaijan and matched their wins after 3-0 over Romania in the opener.

The National Youth Team defeated Azerbaijan 3-0 for the 2nd matchday of the 1st qualifying round of the Euro U17, followed up on their 3-0 victory over Romania and ensured their presence in the next phase of the competition.

Ioannou struck first with a shot from the wide areain the 47th minute, giving the lead to Vassilis Papadakis’ team and just before the 60th minute the Souvlatzis doubled the lead of the blue and white with a nearby place. The final 3-0 came to be written by Kapellas in the 71st minute.

In the final matchday, Greece will play Hungary (19/11, 12:00), who were held to a 0-0 draw with Romania, with the aim of maintaining the first place in the group.

If the National Youth Team wins then they will move up to the first capacity group for the upcoming second round draw, if they draw they will be placed in the second group and if they lose they will end up in the third group.
