The No. 1-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (2-0) host the Ohio University Bobcats (1-1) on Saturday, a game that many natives of the Buckeye State will be tuning in to watch.Â
The reigning-champion Buckeyes have picked up right where they left off last season. They just beat Grambling State 70-0 last week, and now they have a familiar foe in in-state rival Ohio U.Â
The Bobcats won’t be as easy an out as Grambling State. The reigning MAC champion, Ohio beat West Virginia last week and very nearly knocked off Rutgers on opening weekend (Rutgers prevailed 34-31).Â
This marks the fourth time Ohio U will have come to Ohio Stadium for an Ohio vs. Ohio State rivalry game. The last time these programs played was back in 2010, when an infamous mascot fight broke out between Ohio’s Rufus and Ohio State’s Brutus before the Buckeyes sealed the 43-7 victory.
